Emily Lapham
Emily is a Manager at Prosono where she is responsible for designing and executing projects within Strategy and Operations Services. While she has supported a diverse set of clients across the state and country, she primarily leads strategic planning and operational initiatives for organizations within workforce development, education, and outdoor recreation. She has worked extensively with organizations in the nonprofit, public sector, and higher education spaces and enjoys helping clients better understand how to both broaden and deepen their impact.
Before joining Prosono, Emily spent two years in graduate school gaining hands-on experience with social enterprise strategy, social impact initiative development, and business analytics. While in school, she was a REDF Farber Fellow and consulted for Chrysalis, an employment social enterprise based in Los Angeles, to improve its diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. She also provided marketing and partnership development support for other social enterprise startups, including an organization focused on entrepreneurship acceleration.
Emily began her career in Washington, D.C., working in the national security space. While in D.C., Emily was an analyst with the Cadmus Group, designing crisis preparedness and emergency management exercises to improve FEMA, state agency, and higher education posture for natural disaster mitigation and counterterrorism efforts. Whie at Cadmus, Emily was part of the core design and implementation team for National Level Exercise 2018, a biannual emergency preparedness exercise that includes all Federal departments and all levels of government. Prior to that, she worked in Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Global Business Development Organization where she helped establish effective company offices in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions to support global security and operations.
Emily obtained her MBA from UC-Berkeley Haas School of Business and a BA in Economics and International Studies from Emory University. Emily is a 2023 Impact Denver participant and sits on the Denver chapter board of Back on My Feet, a national organization combatting homelessness, where she is also a volunteer career coach. Emily lives in Colorado with her husband and energetic puppy, Peach. When not at work or volunteering, she can usually be found running on the local trails or escaping to the mountains.
