The Challenge:

ActivateWork, established in 2016, sought to uplift individuals from marginalized communities through job training, while addressing industry talent gaps. Despite success, ActivateWork faced critical decisions for its growth strategy. Challenges and achievements in the healthcare and IT sectors prompted a need for guidance to navigate the path to expanded impact and sustainable growth.

What Prosono was hired to do:

Prosono was engaged to provide ActivateWork with a strategic direction and decision-making support. The objectives were clear:

  • Develop a comprehensive 2–3-year strategic plan based on rigorous analysis of variables.

  • Introduce decision-making tools to evaluate options and ensure data-informed choices.

  • Instill confidence in ActivateWork's ability to make informed decisions for future planning. 

Outcome of the Project:

Collaborating with Prosono, ActivateWork gained a refined focus for its growth trajectory. The strategic plan highlighted key areas of impact, prioritizing industries for growth, particularly in IT. This strategy allowed ActivateWork to set the target of training over 1000 individuals, accelerating IT apprenticeships, and launching a Bridge to Tech initiative. Beyond strategic clarity, ActivateWork's leadership responsibilities, role definitions, communication frameworks, and decision-making strategies were enhanced.

The Strategic Growth Plan not only encapsulates ActivateWork's commitment but also charts a course for lasting prosperity across the community, industry, and individual beneficiaries. The collaborative effort between ActivateWork and Prosono laid the foundation for informed growth and sustained success.
